Letter From the Author
Dear Friend:
I'm honored that you would consider reading what I've written. I wish I could talk with you face to face but that's not possible. So, let me tell you why I wrote this book and what I hope it will do for you or someone you care about.
I wrote the book because my life took such a sudden and devastating turn that I thought I'd never come back from it. Everything that held it together was challenged. I felt about as weak and useless as a person can feel. I wrote this book because I'm not the only person that has ever felt that desperate. I wrote this book because I found a life-preserver and a way back. As I sit here and write, I feel blessed and more grateful than I can express. That's why I wrote this book.
I hope someone who is in a difficult place in their life, will find comfort in Lord, Knock Me Out 'Till It's Over. It means a lot to me to pass on the help I've received.
The word of God says, "comfort others with the comfort with which you have been comforted." (2nd Corinthians 1:4) That's my motivation. That's my sincere desire. My hope is that more people will receive this book than will buy it. I say that because I think people will choose to give this book to people they know are hurting. I don't care if you buy the book and pass it on to five people. It's not sales that motivates me in this work.
I believe there is a great deal of value in this book, and God gets the glory for sharing it with me in my hour of need. I tried to be faithful to the evidence of His mercy and love in my life.
May God bless you,
 |
